We are within easy reach of the motorway and train station so why not take a day trip to some of the most beautiful cities of art in central north Italy. Parma, Cremona and Mantova are situated 30, 40, and 70 km respectively from here and both Verona and Pisa can be reached within an hour and a half.
For those of you who like sport there is plenty to choose from. There are plenty of places to go and plenty of things to do…….
Mountain bikes: are available at only 10 euro for a half day.
There are plenty of places to go walking and jogging around the Relais at Tabiano Castello.
Horseriding: you can hire horses for both adults and children (min. 12 years of age). The horse stables are just a few km away from RelaisTabiano Castello, in Colombia, at a cost of 20 euro per hour. Insurance is obligatory and costs 30 euro.
Golf: Fancy a spot of golf? There are excellent golf courses nearby in Salsomaggiore, Sala Baganza and Castell’Arquato.
Tennis: The clay tennis courts are less than 3 km from Relais Tabiano Castello.
The thermal spa towns of Tabiano and Salsomaggiore are just 2 and 6 km away (respectively) and provide excellent health and beauty treatments. People come from all over to avail of the mud baths to treat rheumatism, and the waters are used in the treatment and prevention of lung, ear, nose, throat and skin disorders.
For shopping lovers Milan (100 km) and nearby Parma are considered the fashion capitals of Italy. Fidenza Village shopping outlet (12 km) is one of the major European centres for outlet shops, featuring many of the very best Italian and international brands at really exceptional prices!
