The
castle of Tabiano was built in the 11th century on
an old Roman position dominating the area.
It was the stronghold of powerful Pallavicino family,
which dominated this strategic area during the centuries
of struggles between the Imperial and the Vatican
forces. Tabiano
castle has been at the centre of historical events to preside
over the rich salt wells and olive trees as well as the
old pilgrim road to Rome Via Francigena.
Now the medieval castle village has been transformed into
a Relais de Charme offering exclusive living, relaxation
and romance. |
